Creating a Culture of Welcome --- The purpose of this session is for the participants to assess how welcoming they truly are with both Members and Staff. The assessment is done by discussing eight key elements that create a culture of welcome in any business but examples utilized are relevant to the club environment. The session is presented in acronyms for ease in remembering the elements and more importantly, implementing the elements. Video footage and activities also drive the clarity of the message in this session. Participants will understand how to:

  • Define "culture of welcome" so that the meaning is clear and not left to individual interpretation
  • Define how the club’s culture of welcome can create a competitive advantage in the market place
  • Create ready acts of kindness that all staff can deliver at any time
  • Be an advocate not an adversary for the Member, the club and each other
  • Recognize that it is not about winning or losing nor is it about you
  • Define your own contribution to the club and to the world

This 3 hour session is designed for management and hospitality staff.

Enhance Member Integration and Increase Non-Dues Revenue at the Point of Sale
October 22, 2009 - 9am to 1pm
in Boulder , Colorado

The thrust of this session will be two-fold: 1.) Increasing Member retention through immediate integration, 2.) Increasing non-dues revenue at the point of sale. Elements of the session include:

  • Integration on tour as opposed to at the POS
  • Identifying the different Member care levels the Member desires and creating the club data base for that
  • Creating differentiation and value between free and fee-for services
  • Verbiage to add value on tour for non-dues revenue programs
  • Logistical flow for presentation
  • Non-dues revenue packages to create at your club
  • Pricing and compensation plans for non-dues packages

The outcomes of this session include tools to:

  • Increase non-dues revenue by $5,000 in 30 days and continue the growth
  • Increase new Member integration in 30 days
  • Increase retention by a minimum of 4% over the year.
